Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
Paid for my car insurance on 5th November 2014.

Sent driving licence and NCB details to them electronically via their website exactly as they requested the same day.

Opened a letter today at 7 pm when I got home from work dated 22nd December 2014.

''We have not received your documents, insurance will be cancelled on 29th December 2014.''

Their office will of course be closed until that day, no doubt their phones will be in meltdown. meaning my car won't be insured until I speak to one of them and threaten them with the financial ombudsman.

Happy Christmas INSURANCE CUNTS.

Lots of questions here

1- when was your ins due for renewal?

2- after you paid in nov when did you get your ins cert?

lowermarshhammer 10:02 Wed Dec 24
Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
1. end of nov
2. about 15 minutes after the policy was paid in full for 12 months upfront

Had the same thing, uploaded them again, no bother.

Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
Ditcher, I've sent the documents again, via email rather than upload after their website fail.

My concern is that their administration systems will be shut down over Christmas and they won't see the email until after they have stopped my cover on the 29th meaning I won't be able to drive the fucking thing from the 29th cos they will have stopped the policy.

DO NOT go anywhere near them.
Biggest firm of chancing wankers I've ever dealt with.
They lure you in by being the best on offer on the comparison sites then invent ANY reason to charge extra for "Incorrect Documents"
I took my case against them to the financial ombudsmen- One Call are known to them.
I got my money refunded but AVOID.

Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
I checked them out when the quote I got from them for buildings insurance was about half everyone else's. If you had done the same you'd have saved yourself a big headache.

Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
Unfortunately there are previous posts on here about this bunch of arseholes, run by the guy who owns (Mansfield?) F.C.
If you look for the threads about them on moneysavingexpert etc you will be even more worried than you are already...
In 17 calls to them, trying to extricate my son from a similar situation to yours, I never spoke to the same person twice - one guy told me new staff don't even survive their first day...

Our case was found for by the FSA (as it was then), and OneCall were fined and ordered to fully reimburse my son plus £50 for his trouble. When he got the cheque, they had sent a letter saying it was all a "return of funds due to an overpayment by him"!! Laughable - they simply couldn't accept they were in the wrong.

My advice is to go direct to the FCA (as it is now) and let them chase it down. One Call have a truly APPALLING record - do not pay their bullshit fines etc, just kick it in the air.

Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
when they admit it was their fault, give it loads of

"I needed to visit a relative who has since died"
"The pain you have caused me and my family, is inexplicable"

etc.

hth.

Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
They are an insurance broker not an insurance company. They will be open over Xmas. They will sort out your policy - they have plenty of markets to go to on their insurance panel. Just be patient on the phone.

"Just be patient on the phone. "

Another "kerching!" for the phone companies that one.

I wouldn't be surprised if such a company had a contract with the phone line provider to split the money made from keeping people on hold.

Re: Scammers - One Call INSURANCE
Called them this morning at 9 on the dot.

Got through straight away.

Informed them I was recording the call just in case I need to go to the ombudsman at a later date. Very happy to help once that was mentioned.

She was able to check my driving licence over the phone.

NCB details were given and they'll be confirming this with the previous insurer on Monday.

Cancellation notice removed.

So that was pretty simple. It's lucky I hadn't gone away for Christmas or I could have been driving about uninsured.

I'd say a big cock up on their part to send out the cancellation notice but at least they were efficient and easy to deal with today.

So maybe not scammers - just TIME WASTING CUNTS

cheers to all those who gave advice

will probably stay clear of this lot next year
